Its going to be a hot one this week. Why not cool off at one of Long Beach Island’s many ice cream shops located all over its 18-mile stretch.

1. Skipper Dipper

An LBI staple since 1978, Skipper Dippers has been keeping up with the most current ice cream trends for 40 years. Created by sisters Eileen and Susan, this shop has stood the test of time on the Island. Eileen’s Son David, who played a big role in naming the shop at just 3-years-old, took over the reins in 2008. The shop has won numerous awards over the years. The abundance of flavor options and the reputation are both well worth the wait on a busy summer night.
