LBI Life: What’s Happening in August

Are you going to be on the island next month and want to know what happening? Check out our list of just a fraction of the events and activities that Long Beach Island has to offer locals and visitors alike.

August 1 – Annual Seashore Open House Tour from 10:30am-4:30pm hosted by LBIF. Fee is $40 in advance & $45 day of.

August 2 – Adults Night Out is held every Thursday this month and prices range from $20 to $30. This Thursday is Felted Soap with Sara Setzer. Held at the LBIF building at 7pm.

August 5 – Viking Village Antique Show – Free event at 19th & the Bay with over 60 vendors

August 6-  Verdict: Free Concert in Harvey Cedars’ Sunset Park from 7pm tp 9m.

August 9 – Annual Chocolate Fair: 6pm-8pm at the LBI Historical Museum

August 11 – Hooked on Fishing Not on Drugs: Rain or shine event from 9am-2pm at Harvey Cedars Sunset Park.

August 13 – Tequila Rose: Free Concert in Harvey Cedars’ Sunset Park from 7pm to 9pm.

August 14 – Eleven Eleven: Free Concert in Ship Bottom’s Waterfront Park at 7pm.

August 16 – The Ship Bottom Flea Market will be held from 8am-3pm on 10th Street & Shore Avenue.

August 19 – The 40th Annual Dog Day Road Race with benefit HPV Fire Company to ensure proper equipment and training to better serve the community.

August 24 – The Long Beach Island holds walking tours every Tuesday at 10am. Cost is $10 for adults, $2 for children, and the tour leaves from the LBI Musuem.

August 21 – Jimmy and the Parrots: Free Concert in Ship Bottom’s Waterfront Park at 7pm.

August 26 – FaceDown: Free Concert in Long Beach Township’s Bay View Park from 7pm tp 9m.

August 27 – The Hotsy Totsy Gals: Free Concert in Beach Haven’s Bicentennial Park from 7:30pm tp 9m. (Rain location is LBI Historical Museum).
